A Sweet Celebration of Pollinators

On April 23, in celebration of Earth Week, Mohawk Sustainability co‑hosted a Hive‑Warming Party with local beekeeper Backed By Bees at the Fennell campus.

Staff and students gathered, with honey sodas in hand, to celebrate the campus honey bees as they moved into their newly refreshed hives. The hives feature panels painted by students earlier this year during a bee panel painting session.

Dave, the beekeeper, led an engaging educational demonstration and installed the frames into hive boxes, giving the pollinators a renewed home where they can thrive.
