Bell Let's Talk Day is January 26

Bell_Lets_Talk

Bell Let’s Talk Day is Wednesday, January 26 and we’re joining in to help drive meaningful progress in mental health.

COVID-19 has affected every aspect of our lives, including our mental health. However, tools are available to support ourselves and each other.

Since 2010, Canadians and people around the globe have joined in the world’s largest conversation around mental health on Bell Let’s Talk Day.

This year, 228 universities and colleges from across Canada will be participating in the world’s largest mental health conversation and helping drive Bell’s donations to mental health programs in Canada.

This year’s Bell Let’s Talk Day campaign highlights the ways that we can support ourselves and those we care about through actions like listening, being there and talking. Every Canadian can play a part in their communities, workplaces, schools and at home.

As participants in the Bell Let’s Talk Day Campus Campaign, we’re encouraging everyone at Mohawk College to get involved! Take a few minutes to watch the video below and call/text someone today, it could change their day!

Bell Let’s Talk Photo Booth

Mohawk College will be participating in the Bell Let’s Talk virtual photobooth once again this year.  We invite you to join together and create awareness by capturing a selfie and sharing a personalized mental health message.

It’s simple to participate:

  1. Click the link
  2. Enter your name & email address (You’ll want to use your Mohawk college email address)
  3. Start typing and select Mohawk College in the institution search bar
  4. Write your personal message, snap your selfie or upload an existing photo (option to add a fun Bell Let’s Talk toque), and share your photo booth selfie to our gallery!

Keep listening, talking and being there for ourselves and each other.

On Bell Let’s Talk Day, Bell donates 5 cents to Canadian mental health programs for every applicable text, local or long distance call, tweet or TikTok video using #BellLetsTalk, every Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter and YouTube view of the Bell Let’s Talk Day video, and every use of the Bell Let’s Talk Facebook frame or Snapchat lens. All at no cost to participants beyond what they would normally pay their service provider for online or phone access.

Join the teams in Campus Life and Well-being, the Mohawk Students Association, and Employee Health, Safety, and Wellness as we take part in the conversation.
