Bullying Ends Here, Kindness Tour

Tad Milmine to visit Mohawk as part of Canadian Kindness Tour

Centre for Teaching & Learning Speaker Series:

  • Tuesday, February 11, 9:00-10:30 am, H201, Fennell
  • Tuesday, February 11, 12:00-1:30 pm, Rm 201, IAHS

The Centre for Teaching & Learning is pleased and honoured to have Tad Milmine, President of Bullying Ends Here, and Constable with the Calgary Police Service, visit Mohawk College as part of his International and Canadian Kindness Tour.

Tad’s goal is to help as many people as possible by talking, being open, and honest. He speaks about growing up, feeling alone in a broken home full of addictions, and being confined to a basement for many years. He speaks of childhood abuse and being bullied in school. He speaks of his dream of becoming a police officer and how he persevered to achieve that dream.

Tad is a model of determination and resilience for all. On top of his work to end bullying and his service to his country, he proudly represents the LGBTQ community.

Tad has received numerous awards and recognition throughout his journey of service including being recognized by the Canadian Senate, presented the Sovereign Medal for Volunteers, and awarded the Order of Merit. Tad is one of only a handful of Canadians to have ever received both of these medals!

Please come to hear his important message. All are welcome.
