Celebrating MRT Week at Mohawk College

What an incredible week celebrating Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) Week, with our MRT and Diagnostic Medical General and Cardiac Sonography (DCS) students at Mohawk College! Throughout the week, we highlighted innovation, teamwork, and professional excellence across the imaging community:

• Educational Sessions: We kicked things off with a fascinating talk on AI in medical imaging and a Q&A where junior students had the opportunity to connect with senior students to gain insight into clinical life.
• Industry & Professional Partners: Huge thanks to GE Healthcare and the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (OAMRS) for hosting engaging sessions — and for treating everyone to pizza lunches that fueled great discussion and networking!
• Games Day: A fun, high-energy day that brought our programs together through friendly competition and laughter.
• Cardiac Imaging & Interventions Day: We wrapped up the week with specialized cardiac imaging lectures and live echocardiography demonstrations, supported by our amazing student and staff volunteers who made the day a success.
