Diwali Celebrations at Mohawk College
The Language and Culture Centre invites the whole Mohawk College community to celebrate the Festival of Lights with our students. Join us for a dynamic presentation of music, dance performances and learn about the significance of this special date. Come cheer for our students as they showcase their talent on stage. Make your day sweeter with a sampling of traditional Diwali sweets.
The Diwali celebration at Mohawk is on Wednesday, October 26, from 11:30 am to-1:30 pm at the McIntyre Performing Arts Centre.
Share your creativity this Diwali by creating a beautiful rangoli design and having a chance to win prizes.
Students can register for the contest individually or work together as groups of up to three.
The rangolis will be created in person, from 11 am to 12 pm.
The winners will be announced at our Diwali Celebration on October 26th.

Mehndi, also known in other parts of the world as henna, is a temporary skin design that has been used for thousands of years to adorn the hands for special celebrations.
No registration is necessary, this is a drop-in event while supplies last.
