ECE Appreciation Day

On Tuesday, October 17, the Early Childhood Education faculty and students celebrated Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day. This year, it was the 23rd annual appreciation day.  This day recognizes the commitment, skills and hard work of Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) and the staff who work with young children.  The event was an opportunity for students to celebrate with community partners, including ASCY and the Association of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario (AECEO).  Students were able to actively engage in advocacy for their upcoming profession.  And, with the help of second-year mentors, the students took part in creating the 2023/2024 class quilt.  It was a great opportunity for faculty, students and the community to come together meaningfully to celebrate a bright future for our students.  To learn more about how you can engage in advocacy opportunities for the ECE profession, visit childcareontario.org.
