Maria Theodorakidis 

For always going that extra mile for her colleagues and for the Mohawk College Foundation, Maria Theodorakidis is an Everyday Hero. Maria manages all of the gifts made to the Mohawk Foundation, and is a fountain of knowledge about the college and its history. She quietly goes about her business each day, never seeking the limelight. She is always willing to help a colleague with a question or a challenge, which has been very helpful for the new members of the Foundation team. Her desire to be a helpful member of the team is genuine, as is her passion for student success at the college. Her greatest attributes are her humility, her dedication to the Foundation team, and her proactive approach to doing better each day. Ken Staruck

For always being there when he’s needed and knowing what to do to fix a problem, Ken Staruck is a Mohawk College Everyday Hero. As Manager of ITSM and Service Desk at Mohawk, Ken responds to all manner of questions and concerns related to Information Technology. Ken provides exceptional service to the areas he serves. He always takes the time to listen to people’s concerns, and makes sure their questions or concerns are dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible.
