David Smillie

For always going above and beyond for students, David Smillie is a Mohawk College Everyday Hero. David has been working with Mohawk’s third-year journalism students to teach them how to live-stream coverage of events. Recently, David spent an entire weekend with the students at Hamilton Comic Con to ensure they had the best learning experience possible. He guided them through logistical, technical and storytelling issues so that they could learn this new skill. Afterward, the students were engaged, enthusiastic and ready to show off their new skills.
