Everyday Heroes for March 2018

For helping students develop their leadership potential, Donna Moreau is a Mohawk College Everyday Hero. Donna joined the Mohawk Experience Team four years ago and is dedicated to giving students unique opportunities to develop their leadership skills. Donna played a key role this past fall in revamping Day One leader training and is helping to further strengthen the college’s MoCrew program, where student leaders volunteer at on-campus and community events, serve as college ambassadors and welcome new students to Mohawk. Along with Day One training and MoCrew, Donna is helping to further enhance Mohawk’s annual Celebration of Learning event which recognizes students' academic and extra-curricular achievements. Colleagues say Donna is the consummate team player who is always willing to step outside her comfort zone to give students a great college experience. As a Student Success Advisor for the School of Community, Justice and Liberal Studies, Tracey supports and advocates on behalf of more than 1,700 students. By providing information and options, Tracey helps students navigate around any unexpected detours while on their educational journey at Mohawk. With respect and a sense of humour, Tracey connects students with college services and resources and also works closely with faculty and staff. Tracey also serves as a representative of support staff on Mohawk’s Board of Governors.
