Christine cares about Mohawk students and their success. She goes out of her way to ensure that students are made aware of the resources and events available to them through Student & Graduate Employment services, as well as other services across the college. Many students return to see Christine again and again because of the support and guidance she offers. Christine's ability to foster relationships with employers spanning all areas of study has proven to be an invaluable resource for students. Over the past academic year, Christine has connected more than 2,100 students to 360 employers, helping students better understand how to prepare for their transition to the workforce. For her amazing dedication to the college Tracey McLaughlin is a Mohawk College Everyday Hero. As a Student Services Representative at the Welcome Desk, Tracey is a familiar face to many students and visitors to the college. For many, she is often their first impression of Mohawk and this is not something she takes lightly. She is always professional, courteous and thorough in every interaction she has. She always makes sure that people have the information they need, and it is not uncommon for her to walk with someone to help them find their way to an appointment, an event or a classroom. Tracey models what we expect from our staff day in and day out by delivering excellent service to everyone she meets. Students have left her gifts, cards and stopped by after their convocation ceremony for a good-bye hug and a photo, and it’s all because of how thankful they were for her support during their time at the college.
