Gloria Montes

For always going out her way to help a colleague solve a problem and for making the college a better place to work, Gloria Montes is a Mohawk College Everyday Hero. And prior to joining Mohawk as an employee, Gloria was a student and an active Mohawk Student Association board member from 2013 – 2017. John Lewitzky

For going the extra mile to work and re-work Mohawk’s new ancillary fee structure so it aligns with the Ministry’s Student Choice Initiatives announced in January, John Lewitzky is a Mohawk College Everyday Hero. As the Financial Planning Analyst for Student Services, John worked long hours and late nights to work and re-work the college’s ancillary fee structure. Despite this, John managed all of his other priorities for Finance and did it during a very busy time of year for the department. Through it all, John’s can-do attitude and warm demeanor never faltered. He is always available to answer questions from budget managers, and is never too busy to sit down and explain financial budget items to those who ask. He is always patient, thorough and kind.Recognize someone who's making a difference at Mohawk with an Everyday Hero Award at www.mohawkcollege.ca/everydayhero
