Congratulations to the following recipients:

EDH_Vanessa_Crawford_November

For being the glue that holds Community Partnerships and Learning together, Vanessa Crawford is a Mohawk College Everyday Hero. Vanessa manages the administration for City School by Mohawk, Dual Credits and other program that needs her support. She always takes on new challenges with a smile and is always looking for the best way to do things. Vanessa keeps the best interests of students at the core of everything she does, working from a strong foundation of policy compliance and forward thinking and planning. She is a great communicator, always making sure that the whole team is aware of our long-term plans and working towards a common goal. Vanessa is a behind-the scenes star at City School, which would not be what it is without her diligence and attention to detail.

Rosemarie Ortiz2

For her commitment to students in the Paralegal program, Rosemarie Ortiz is a Mohawk College Everyday Hero. Former students describe Rosemarie as the glue that holds the paralegal program together. Students can be confident that when they approach her with a problem or a question, they will receive a prompt, empathetic and thoughtful response. Rosemarie’s coordination and ability to maintain positive professional relationships with industry contacts creates many opportunities for students to access experiential learning in law, which in many cases has led to full-time employment in the field. Rosemarie takes a special interest in all her students and devotes countless hours of her own personal time to their success in the program and post-graduation.
