Congratulations to the following recipients:
For her commitment to going above and beyond for her students, Program Coordinator and Faculty Member, Carla LaBella is a Mohawk College Everyday Hero.
As an example of her dedication, Carla regularly goes out of her way to provide additional support and resources both within and outside of the classroom to help her students achieve their goals, such as offering workshops outside of class time that promote personal growth, wellness, and resiliency. Alongside being an advocate for her students, Carla is also a mentor to her colleagues. She is always willing to lend a listening ear, offer guidance, and share her expertise with colleagues. Her mentorship has had a lasting impact on countless individuals, helping them to grow both personally and professionally, with students regularly updating Carla with their achievements that she has helped motivate and inspired them to set and reach.
Recently, Carla added published author to her list of accomplishments with the release of her book on positive psychology: The WOW Book ~ Ways of Optimizing Well-Being. Both research-oriented and inspiring, her book further solidifies her reputation as a leader in the Positive Psychology space and is a wonderful reflection of her commitment to excellence and lifelong learning.
Congratulations Carla!

For their commitment to creating innovative solutions for students, Jaime Harris and Allison Stewart are Mohawk College Everyday Heroes.
Allison, working in the Registrar's Office at the time and Jaime, working in the Co-op Department at the time, collaborated together to revolutionize the Campus Student Employment Program (CSEP) by leveraging the Career Ready portal. The change allowed students to easily access CSEP opportunities and streamlined the process for hiring managers to access and review resumes. Through Jaime and Allison's dedication to this initiative they were able to quickly make these changes to improve the student and employee experience.
Congratulations Jaime and Allison!
