Faculty Spotlight: John Deelstra

John Deelstra's journey into carpentry and his passion for teaching began with summers spent working alongside his grandfather. That time sparked his interest and helped him develop practical skills. Over time, he discovered that he also enjoyed mentoring others and sharing his knowledge. 

As an instructor, he finds it rewarding to help students build confidence, learn from their mistakes, and develop hands-on skills. One of his proudest moments is watching students cross the stage on graduation day. Watch John Deelstra's video on YouTube.
