Fast-Tracked Pipeline

The latest issue of Elevator World features this article on Mohawk College's new Mechanical Technician - Elevating Devices program. Launched this year at a newly opened advanced elevator training facility at the Marshall School of Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship in Stoney Creek, the program is the first of its kind in Canada. The lab includes two fully functional elevators and graduates of the two-year integrated technician-apprenticeship program are exempt from all three levels of the in-school portion of their apprenticeship training.
