Forge Players Visit Mohawk College Summer Camp
In August, players from Hamilton Forge FC stopped by Mohawk College Summer Camp. Through Mohawk College’s partnership with Hamilton Sports Group as the Official Post-Secondary Education Partner, the campers had the chance to learn from current Forge FC players, Keito Lipovschek and Kevaughn Tavernier.
Community programming plays a key role in the partnership with Hamilton Sports Group, which began earlier this year. At the centre of the partnership is student development, with a focus on experiential learning and industry access. Mohawk College students gain exposure to multiple areas of Hamilton Sports Group through mentorship opportunities, including gameday job shadowing and in-office experiences across the organization.
Also, earlier this month, VP Katie Burrows participated in the coin toss at the Forge FC game on August 19, representing Mohawk as the Presenting Sponsor.
