Friendlier makes a more sustainable campus

It is the little things we do that can make a big difference.  Friendlier and Mohawk Sustainability are making the Fennell campus a little friendlier, one blue container at a time.  

You may have noticed the blue reusable containers in the cafeteria and MSA food court. These have been implemented to reduce the amount of waste generated on campus.  Because they require 24% less energy and can be reused up to 100 times, Friendlier containers help lower our environmental footprint compared to single-use plastics. 

Together, we're fostering a more sustainable campus and making a positive difference!  

The process is simple: just download the app, order scan, and return it to the blue bins when done. Watch the video above or on Youtube to learn more. 

Participating in this program directly contributes to Mohawk's Climate Action Plan Target #3, which focuses on aligning our food services, events, and branded products with our commitment to reduce emissions.
