History of Pride | Learning Opportunity | June 29, 2020

Equity and Inclusion has arranged a History of Pride PD session on Monday, June 29 from 11 am – 12 pm.

This session will focus on history of advocacy related to queer and trans communities across North America. It will provide a look at the history of Pride in North America – how it all started, and how it has (and continues to) evolved. Pride is not just a party; Pride is political and it is more important than ever to acknowledge its roots. From the Stonewall Riots in New York City, to Operation Soap and a look back to the first Dyke and Trans marches in Toronto, all the way through to today, we will discuss all that has changed and all that has stayed the same.

To register for this session, please visit the Events Calendar using My Learning.
