Holiday Closure Contest Winners

Congratulations to the MCE department at Stoney Creek campus, the winners of this year’s Holiday Closure Contest!

The contest, organized by the Energy Conservation Committee, encouraged employees to complete a series of energy-saving activities in preparation for the holiday closure. Twenty-three departments and more than 337 employees participated, saving enough energy to provide electricity for the average family home for 2 months.

The employee contest complemented the college’s broader conservation measures, such as reducing heating throughout the buildings.

The Sustainability Office will be partnering with a local agency to plant trees in honour of the winners.
