Upcoming Funding Opportunities

In the meantime, we can connect you with external resources to support your writing.

Looking for funding for a project that would make a difference to educational development in Canada? Educational Developers Caucus (EDC) grant proposals (between $500 to $3000) are due April 30. The principal investigator needs to be an EDC member. The funded projects are expected to benefit the EDC community and address national or regional areas of interest or concern unaddressed by existing work, resources or literature. There are two calls for proposal due on April 30 (Spring Call) and October 31 (Fall Call). If you have a project that you think would benefit from this funding, please contact Neil Wilkinson.

SSHRC Partnership Engage Grants provide short-term and timely support for partnered research activities that will inform decision-making at a single partner organization from the public, private or not-for-profit sector. Partnership Engage Grants are valued at $7,000 to $25,000 for one year. Unfortunately these grants do not cover faculty-release or backfill If you have a project that you think would benefit from this funding, please contact Neil Wilkinson.

NSERC Engage Grants provide up to $25,000 of funding for up to six months. Engage Grants are designed to give innovative companies that operate from a Canadian base access to the knowledge, expertise and capabilities available at Canadian colleges. These grants are intended to foster the development of new research partnerships by supporting short-term research and development projects aimed at addressing a company-specific problem. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Plan to apply for Engage funding at least 5-8 months in advance of the project start date. If you have a project that you think would benefit from this funding, please contact Neil Wilkinson.
