Upcoming Funding Opportunities
The MITACS Business Strategy Internship Program is a new program that was initiated through a federal contribution spurred by COVID-19. For the BSI, Mitacs will match $5,000 contributed by a company to provide a student with a $10,000 total stipend for a 4-6 month business-oriented project to help a partner adjust to COVID-19 circumstances and modern challenges. If you have a project that you think would benefit from this funding, please contact Neil Wilkinson.

Meet an IDEAWORKS Student Researcher
“As a student looking for my first co-op position, I couldn't have dreamed of a better experience than what IDEAWORKS has provided for me. I am currently working on a collaborative project between the Energy & Power Innovation Centre and MEDIC where I have been given the opportunity to be an essential member of the team. From day one, it was clear my opinions and skills were valued by the team. In the requirements gathering stage, I was given a voice in shaping the project and now in the development stage, my programming skills are heavily relied on. As a result of the trust and support IDEAWORKS has offered me, I am improving my programming skills and gaining unique industry experiences every day.”
