In Memory - Neil McMahon

It is with great sadness that we share the recent passing of Mohawk College retiree, Neil McMahon.

Neil worked most of his professional life at Mohawk College in Hamilton, where he built an extensive network of relationships and fostered growth through his educational and charitable work with the Children’s Aid Society, Interval House, and United Way.

In his position as Dean of Community, Justice, and Liberal Studies, he was instrumental in working with educational and community partners in the development and implementation of two innovative programs for Ontario in areas of Brain Disorders and Mental Health and Disability. Most recently, Neil served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Retiree Association of Mohawk College. His years of dedication and loyalty to Mohawk College were a true reflection of his character, commitment to education and his genuine care for the community.

A funeral will take place on March 17 in Oakville.
