International Women’s Day – Who inspires you? We want to know.

March 8, 2020 is International Women’s Day (IWD), a day to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of women, to challenge bias and gender inequity and create a more gender-balanced world.

As part of this year’s IWD activities at Mohawk, the planning committee is once again looking for inspiring stories about women from the Mohawk College community. It could be someone who is making great strides in advancing a particular cause or raising awareness about a specific issue. It could be someone whose personal or career achievements inspire others to action, or someone who sets an example for future generations to follow. She can be a current student, an alumna, or someone who works at the college.

The IWD Committee will review all submissions. Successful submissions will be included in a special video that will be broadcast on campus TV screens on March 6th, 9th and throughout the rest of March at selected intervals.

If you know someone who deserves to be recognized send the following information to equityandinclusion@mohawkcollege.ca. Please make sure that you get the person’s permission before making your submission.
