IT Notification - Scheduled Maintenance for November

 

 

 

 

Below are the upcoming scheduled maintenance to IT systems for November.

November 14, 2020 – Banner Outage

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing quality services at Mohawk College, the Information Technology team will be performing Banner JobSub Control Processing on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 12 noon to 6:00 pm. During this time, Banner will not be available.

Network Upgrades 

In order to maintain compliance and implement vendor mandated updates to the college’s infrastructure, the ITS department will be conducting campus-wide, rolling, network upgrades throughout the period of November 17th to December 15th. The upgrades will be take place between the hours of 10pm - 12:00am specifically on Mondays through Thursdays.

The network upgrades affect infrastructure in various rooms such as classrooms, labs and offices. The impact of the upgrades will be minimal with disruptions of less than 10 minutes per area being addressed.

November 20-21, 2020 – Server Patching

On Friday, November 20th, the Mohawk College Information Technology team will be performing maintenance on our server infrastructure from Friday, November 20th at 5:30 pm, to Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 1:00 am.  

During this time, many systems will be intermittently impacted, with the exception of the following:

  • MyCanvas
  • All online registrations
  • Self-Service
  • Online payments
  • Mohawk College Website

November 27-29, 2020 – Banner Database Maintenance Upgrade

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing quality services at Mohawk College, the Information Technology team will be performing a Banner database maintenance. Systems relying on Banner will be unavailable during the following maintenance window: Friday, November 27th from 5:00 pm to Sunday, November 29th at 5:00 pm.
