Justice Studies students attend first Engage and Explore Hamilton Police Service Open House
On Friday, November 15, Mohawk College's Justice Studies programs were invited to attend the Hamilton Police Central Station for an open house. The event titled, “Engage & Explore Hamilton Police Service Open House" included various departments, units, and teams who spoke with students about career opportunities within Hamilton Police Service as sworn members, civilian, or volunteer positions.
This was the first event of its kind and students from the Police Foundations, Advanced Police Studies, and Protection Security and Investigation programs all took part. This event was made possible through the students' Career Development course. In total 73 students participated.
Mohawk continues to strengthen its community partnership with the Hamilton Police Service as they continue to provide engaging and interactive sessions for our students.
