As Director of Alumni Relations Wendy Makey works to create lifelong relationships with Mohawk students, graduates and the community in an effort to keep them engaged in meaningful ways with the college.
“Emotional intelligence (EI) is vital to both your personal and professional success and is key to being a successful leader and making strong personal connections. EI is a skill that continues to develop and involves knowing yourself and your emotions, your triggers and how you manage them. It is understanding how your reactions directly impact your decisions, your relationships and your leadership. Strong emotional intelligence supports you to understand your team, your peers and to build relationships that are founded on honesty, trust, and empathy.” shares Wendy.
Leading with Emotional Intelligence is a 1 hour, 2-minute online learning session that outlines how to understand and harness emotions to cultivate productivity and relationships. By boosting your emotional intelligence you can better understand and lead teams, make change, work with peers, and build your awareness of others to become an inspiring and effective leader.
