Medical Radiation Technologists (MRT) Week Celebration November 8-14

MRT Week presentation

Mohawk’s Centre for Integrated and Advanced Medical Imaging (CIAMI) and Department of Medical Imaging are proud to recognize the contributions of our MRT staff, faculty, researchers, alumni, and students during MRT Week.

The annual celebration begins on World Radiography Day (November 8) and highlights the essential role Medical Radiation Technologists play in bridging advanced medical technology and compassionate patient care. MRT Week provides an opportunity for professionals across Canada to celebrate their achievements, showcase their expertise, and inspire the next generation of healthcare practitioners.

To mark the occasion, the IAHS campus hosted a series of engaging events earlier this week that brought together students, faculty, industry experts, and healthcare professionals to celebrate the profession and explore emerging trends in medical imaging.

  • Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging Symposium:
    • Applications of AI in Breast Imaging, presented by Nadia Morris
    • The Application of AI in Medical Imaging Acquisition and Image Reconstruction, presented by Micheal D. Noseworthy, PhD, P.Eng
    • The Single Image: AI as A Partner at the Scanner, presented by Thomas E. Doyle, PhD, P.Eng
  • Bake Sale and Games Day
  • Career Exploration Fair
  • Meet the Experts Evening
  • OAMRS Professional Practice Day
