Mohawk Awards of Excellence - Nominations Open

The Award of Excellence is Mohawk’s highest honour for recognizing individual employees.

Three Awards of Excellence are presented annually to an outstanding faculty member, support staff employee and administrative staff employee. No awards were presented in 2020 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

All full-time and part-time employees who have worked at Mohawk for at least one year are eligible for a Mohawk Award of Excellence.

A nomination requires the support of three nominators. Nominators can include colleagues, supervisors, students, alumni and college partners.

Nominators are asked to provide specific examples of how their nominee meets the following four award criteria:

• Exemplifies one or more of Mohawk’s core values
• Helps advance one or more of Mohawk’s strategic priorities
• Enhances the image and reputation of their program, department or the college
• Committed to lifelong learning in themselves and others

The Mohawk Awards of Excellence will be presented during the President’s Breakfast on September 1. Recipients will also be put forward as Mohawk’s nominees for the national Colleges and Institutes Canada Awards of Excellence.The nomination deadline is June 18.
