Mohawk College Announces Plans For Winter 2021 Semester

Mohawk College has made the decision, after careful consideration, to continue running programs through a combination of remote/virtual learning and in-person delivery for the Winter 2021 semester, just as the college is doing for the Fall. During the Winter semester, beginning in January 2021, all lecture-based program components will continue to be delivered in a remote/virtual environment and all required face-to-face sessions (eg. labs, simulations, assessments, etc.) will continue to be delivered on campus.

The health and well-being of students and employees continues to be the college's highest priority and was the key guiding factor in its decision-making process since the pandemic began. By minimizing the number of people on campuses, the college can help reduce the risk of the virus spreading within the college community.

It is important to note that the plans for the Fall and Winter semesters are based on current information. As has been the case in other parts of the world, the situation with COVID-19 can change quickly. It is important to remain flexible and ready to respond to any changes that may come in the weeks and months ahead.

If you are coming on campus this Fall, please make sure you understand the health and safety measures that have been put in place. More information on these measures can be found at: https://www.mohawkcollege.ca/covid-19-coronavirus/campus-re-opening/what-you-need-to-know-before-coming-to-campus

Whether you are learning online or in-person, we are committed to supporting you through these challenging times.

We also ask that you do your part to keep our campuses and the Hamilton community safe. Part of the college experience is meeting new friends and connecting with others outside of the learning environment. COVID-19 has changed our lives, and we all have a responsibility to look out for each other, and to do our part to limit the spread of this virus. Please consider the choices you make carefully. Follow the direction of our Public Health authorities and understand what you need to do to keep you and the people you care about safe.
