Mohawk College Celebrates International Women's Day 2026
Every year, International Women’s Day is recognized and celebrated on March 8, and throughout the month Mohawk College proudly honours the achievements and impact of women across our community.
As part of this tradition, students in the Graphic Design program create original posters that celebrate women leading in their fields. This year’s theme, "Women in Sustainability," shines a spotlight on inspiring leaders driving positive change in environmental stewardship, climate action, and community resilience. The theme aligns strongly with the launch of Mohawk's new School of Climate Action this past April, reflecting the college's ongoing commitment to sustainability education and leadership.
We look forward to showcasing these posters throughout the year, including at the PIVOT Conference this coming May, as we continue to elevate the voices and work of women shaping a more sustainable future.
