Mohawk College presents at HEQCO conference

On Friday, November 3, Pamela Ingleton represented the College Student Success Innovation Centre (CSSIC) and Mohawk College as an invited panelist in a session on “Matching Graduate Skills with Employer Expectations: How PSE Institutions Can Help Students Prepare for the Labour Market” as part of the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario (HEQCO)’s Access Reboot Conference. Joined by Pedro Barata (Executive Director, Future Skills Centre), Val Walker (CEO, Business + Higher Education Roundtable), Maxim Jean-Louis (President and CEO, Contact North), and Diane Simpson (Principal, Humber International Graduate School), Dr. Ingleton showcased the CSSIC’s Future Ready Skills Translator project and other praxis work undertaken in support of the translation, development, assessment, and articulation of transferable skills. The panel was well-attended, and the ensuing discussion was lively and enthusiastic.
