Mohawk College receives Game Changer Award from United Way of Halton and Hamilton

Last night at United Way’s Evening of Celebration, Mohawk College was honoured with the prestigious Game Changer Award from the United Way of Halton and Hamilton. The award honours organizations who made a significant contribution to last year's UW campaign. Mohawk College's United Way Campaign team was on hand to accept the award on the college's behalf.

Together, the community raised an incredible $12.5 million in support of our community. Your support for the United Way will make a significant difference in the lives of our community's most vulnerable residents. Contributions are invested right back into Halton and Hamilton, funding programs that provide:

• Access to healthy food for families having trouble affording groceries and daily necessities.
• Afternoon programs to local children and youth so they can get the extra help to succeed at school.
• Services that help older adults facing social isolation to connect with their community through social activities and friendly phone calls.
