More EV Charging At Mohawk

Sustainability EV stations

Mohawk College has recently completed an expansion of it’s Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station network at the Fennell Campus. O’Keefe Electrical Contracting Inc. has installed 6 new ChargePoint stations with 2 chargers each. The stations were installed outside the Residence and in the Short-Term Parking Lot. With these new additions, the number of EV charging stations has doubled, for a total of 24 chargers across the campus.

This project contributes to Mohawk College’s Climate Action Plan (CAP) Target #2 to reduce emissions from college-associated travel. This expansion will support the availability of charging infrastructure and uptake of electric vehicles amongst students and staff. The stations will also support electrification of the college fleet.

EV Charging Stations are available in the following locations for $3/hour:

·       Outside the Residence

·       Short-Term Parking (outside C-wing)

·       P1

·       P4
