Mohawk Mountaineers sports information coordinator Satbir Singh has been named to the 30 Under 30 Class of 2023 by the College Sports Communicators, the international association for strategic, creative and digital communicators across intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada. The honour recognizes emerging athletics communications professionals at all levels of college sports in strategic, creative and digital spaces.

In his third year in his role with the Mountaineers, Singh was the only Canadian honoree in this year’s list.

Singh assisted with the redesign of the department’s website as part of a rebrand in 2023. Additionally, he orchestrated a partnership with Cable 14 to ensure Mohawk competitions are broadcasted in Hamilton, Ontario. Under Singh’s guidance, the department has partnered with Mohawk Radio Program to launch the Mountaineers Sports Network radio show. Singh’s efforts have been beneficial to increase awareness of the Mountaineers.

The recognition honors up-and-coming strategic, creative and digital athletics communications professionals throughout the CSC membership. Candidates are considered for selection based on achievement in one or more areas, such as:

  • Professional success
  • Impact on their athletic department/conference office
  • Service to CSC

Nominees must be 29 years old or younger on December 31, 2023 and a current 2023-24 CSC member.

Of nearly 130 nominations submitted, this year’s class includes 14 members from four different levels of NCAA Division I, three Division II members, six Division III members, five NAIA members, as well as Singh and one two-year college member.
