Mountaineers basketball teams compete at OCAA championships this weekend
For the first time since the 2015-16 season, both the Mohawk Mountaineers men’s and women’s basketball teams have advanced to the OCAA semifinals in the same season.
This weekend, Mohawk will host the OCAA women’s basketball championship on Saturday and Sunday, while the men travel to St. Clair College for the semifinals on Friday and medal games Saturday.
The women’s final four features Mohawk, Fanshawe, Humber and Loyalist. On the men’s side, the Mountaineers join St. Clair, Humber and Loyalist in the semifinals.

Semi-final 2: Loyalist vs. Humber – 6 p.m.

Bronze medal: Loser of SF1 vs. Loser of SF2 – 1 p.m.
Gold medal: Winner of SF1 vs. Winner of SF2 – 3:30 p.m.
Admission to the women’s championship at Mohawk is free throughout the weekend, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis.
