Parking Rates Increase September 1
Parking Rates for 2024-2025
Parking rates will be increasing effective September 1, 2024. Parking rates were last increased in 2021.
The September 1 parking rate increase will help to ensure the college can meet its parking needs over the long term. The new parking rates are competitive with rates charged within the local market, which for comparison includes McMaster University, Hamilton Health Sciences and St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. To see the updated rates for September visit the parking webpage on the college’s website.
Mohawk College uses parking revenues to pay for the maintenance and upkeep of campus parking lots and related equipment. Parking revenues are also invested in general campus improvements, including classroom and equipment upgrades.
As part of our commitment to Climate Action and the need to lower carbon emissions, the college encourages employees and students to consider other options such as carpooling or public transit. Students and employees who choose not to bring their vehicles to campus can take advantage of a number of programs aimed at encouraging active and alternative transportation and reducing their carbon footprint. Programs include discounted bus passes for full-time students, carpooling and ridesharing programs for students and employees, and secure bike parking on campus. For more information, visit the Transportation and Parking webpage.
