Pride Month 2025 at Social Inc.
To mark the start of Pride Month, Social Inc. hosted a bracelet-making session at the Fennell Campus on Wednesday. The event brought together students to connect and reflect on what celebrating Pride means to them.
“It is beautiful to see Pride celebrated in a way that honours the different ways people love, express themselves, exist in the world and the ways we show up for each other,” shared one student who attended the session.
This gathering is one of several events Social Inc. is hosting throughout June to honour the history, resilience, contributions of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in all areas of life, and to raise awareness of the structural barriers that many still face. Together with Student Life, there is a Pride Walk on June 25 that is open to all college community members. Check out the Pride Month event calendar to learn more about upcoming events.
Throughout the year, Social Inc. offers specialized programming for 2SLGBTQIA+ students through art-based activities and social drop-ins that create space for connection, reduce social isolation, and support access to affirming resources.
Pride at Mohawk is about community care, visibility, and affirming that everyone matters, everyone belongs, and everyone deserves to be seen and safe.
