Mohawk College Leaders Spotlight on Learning (PLAYLIST)

This new playlist provides an opportunity for leaders within Mohawk College to showcase a specific training course from the over 1600+ courses on Working at Mohawk featuring LinkedIn Learning, Cornerstone Content Anytime, and other providers of asynchronous learning. All courses are under 1 hour in length and focus on ‘hot topics’. There are many curated playlists already available on Working at Mohawk and you can even make your own!

October feature: Brittany Lauton, Manager, Student Life, at Mohawk College knows that good leadership starts with an open mind and a sincere willingness to be wrong. To support each other well and grow as individuals and as teams, you have to be willing to think beyond best practice, try new things, celebrate BOTH successes and failures, and iterate, iterate, iterate! This 33 minute session on Overcoming Cognitive Bias is so valuable. It challenges the viewer to approach the world and our jobs with curiosity and offers a number of simple but effective strategies to interrogate our biases and blind spots on the road to becoming more critical thinkers, better decision makers, and, ultimately, more equitable leaders.

Follow the Mohawk College Leaders Spotlight on Learning playlist for notifications as new course spotlights from our leaders are added!
