Put Your Future in Motion
Mohawk College's Stoney Creek and Fennel campuses will be a buzz with youth getting a taste for technology and trades. Put Your Future in Motion by Mohawk College is an engaging and innovative program designed to create awareness and stimulate interest in exploring careers in the automotive and smart mobility sector. More than 500 students from local school boards will participate from grade 5 through 12. Students will experience skills building and awareness activities on-site at our technology and skilled trades campuses; and have a chance to explore the connected world, sustainability and automotive careers at the Put Your Future in Motion downtown pop-up.
Mohawk College has partnered with Techsploration, an award-winning, Nova Scotia-based not-for-profit estabished in 1998, that delivers hands-on, mentor-led programming to young women in Grades 9 through 12. The goal of Techsploration is to increase the number of women working in science, engineering, trades, and technology-related occupations by assisting young women from diverse backgrounds to explore a wide range of career options in fields where women are significantly underrepresented.
