Remembrance Day 2023 - Call out to Veterans and Active Duty Personnel

Special Recognition in Lieu of Service

Remembrance Day falls on Saturday, November 11 this year. To remember the courage and sacrifice of those who served and the many who gave their lives to defend the values and the freedoms we hold dear, we’re working on something special to commemorate the day.

Have you served or continue to serve in the armed forces of a Commonwealth country or our allies? If so, you are invited to participate in a special project for Remembrance Day. Please reach out to mohawk.events@mohawkcollege.ca by Friday, October 6 for more details.

Annual Remembrance Day Photo Submission

We are looking for pictures to honour veterans and active-duty personnel (full-time or reserve). If you have photos that we could add to a video tribute, please email them to mohawk.events@mohawkcollege.ca no later than Friday, October 27, 2023.

For those who would like to personalize the photo, please include the following:

Name of the individual in the photo
Name of the individual who submitted the photo

Honour our veterans and wear a Poppy this Remembrance Day

Mohawk College will be offering poppies for sale at each of our campuses starting the end of October. We encourage you purchase one and support our local legion.
