Retirements - February 2021

Since 1987, Laura has been an outstanding colleague and leader at Mohawk College, no matter what role she was fulfilling at the time. Since 2004, Laura’s contribution through various roles in Human Resources has contributed significantly to the positive, respectful and collaborative employee culture we enjoy at Mohawk and she has worked diligently to support all members of the Mohawk community to develop and implement strategies that support individuals to be successful and feel rewarded in their roles.

Laura has worked particularly hard to develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with the Local 240 and Local 241 leadership teams. Embracing an open and honest approach to those relationships, both formally and informally, with a philosophy of trying to find mutually acceptable solutions is something that Laura should be very proud of. She is a trusted advisor, subject matter expert and great friend to those she has worked with. She will be greatly missed.
