Summer road closure at Fennell campus roundabout outside the DBARC
To improve pedestrian safety on campus, the college will be removing the West Parking Lot Roundabout outside the DBARC and constructing a new 4-way stop this summer (see image below). New sidewalks will be constructed to provide a safe and accessible path of travel from the residence to the David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre (DBARC).
Beginning Tuesday, May 20, the roadway in front and beside the DBARC will be blocked at the roundabout. Please do not use the campus entrance at Fennell and Governors Blvd (stoplights), as you will not be able to access general or preferred parking lots. Instead, use the West 5th campus entrance or the entrance via Fennell to the west of the residence to enter and exit the campus.
Construction is expected to be complete by late August.

Accessible Parking
As part of this construction project, accessible parking spaces will be added to P7, P8 and P3. A new accessible loading zone will be constructed at the C-Wing South Main Entrance (theatre entrance) adjacent to the receiving roadway. During this time, P4 gates will be open to allow the use of the accessible parking spaces.
Additionally, Zip Cars will be temporarily relocated to Short-Term Parking Lot P3 on Thursday, May 15 for the duration of the project.
We thank you in advance for your patience as this important work takes place to make our Fennell campus parking lot safer.
