Tiger-Cats Players Visit Mohawk College Summer Camp

Earlier this month, players from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats stopped by Mohawk College Summer Camp.

The visit took place during Game On! Week, where campers ages 4 – 13 took part in a variety of sports, cooperative games, and friendly challenges. The high-energy week helped campers stay active, make new friends, and enjoy the joy of play in a supportive camp environment.

Through Mohawk College’s partnership with Hamilton Sports Group as the Official Post-Secondary Education Partner, the campers had the chance to learn from offensive linemen Quinton Barrow (#59) and Liam Dobson (#66), including activities focused on running and passing.

Community programming plays a key role in the partnership with Hamilton Sports Group, which began earlier this year. At the centre of the partnership is student development, with a focus on experiential learning and industry access. Mohawk College students gain exposure to multiple areas of Hamilton Sports Group through mentorship opportunities, including gameday job shadowing and in-office experiences across the organization.
