Trafficking Awareness in Canada
May is Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention Month. It is an opportunity to raise awareness about sexual abuse and how to support people experiencing sexual violence in this country.
Last year, Mohawk College’s Elizabeth Gray, a counsellor in the Indigenous Student Services department, along with Josh McGurk, photographer and videographer in the Communications department, led the production of a video on Trafficking Awareness in Canada. Awareness is an important step in providing protection against trafficking in our communities.
Everyone deserves to be safe and free from violence.
