Winter 2021 - Orientation & Transition Activities


In support of our current virtual delivery module, Mohawk will once again offer a suite of a synchronous/asynchronous orientation and transition activities designed to support new & returning students as they prepare and begin their W21 semester.

New this term, we are also offering staff learning sessions to support information sharing across the college.

Future Ready Toolkit & Orientation/Re-Orientation

The Future Ready Toolkit and Future Ready Orientation/Re-Orientation courses will re-launch to students on November 20, 2020.

These tools have been enhanced based on student feedback to continue to support success and engagement.

Virtual Learning Basket

The Virtual Learning Basket for Indigenous students—developed collaboratively with Elders, knowledge keepers, and Indigenous educators will continue to be offered to self-identified indigenous students.

Highlights include:

  • Modules on physical, mental, spiritual, & emotional well-being
  • Tips for learning & self-care

*NEW* Start-up Supports for Employees

Ensuring that employees have the information necessary to support students during the Winter orientation & start-up period is critically important.

To ensure staff have the most relevant information to support students, Student Services, Dean of Students, Academic Learning & Corporate Services have partnered to offer a new suite information sessions.
