Women Who Rock

Three of this year's Women Who Rock nominees are from Mohawk

Three Mohawk College employees are on the list of nominees for the 2019 Women Who Rock awards. Women Who Rock is Hamilton's premier Women's History Month celebration and networking event, attracting dignitaries, community leaders and people from various backgrounds.

The Mohawk nominees are Rochelle Ivri, Emily Ecker and Kathryn Crooks. Rochelle is a professor in Mohawk's Paralegal program. She is also one of 10 Citizenship Judges for Canada, appointed to the role by the Governor in Council on the recommendation of Canada's Minister of Immigration in 2018. Emily is a Associate Dean, Community Partnerships and Learning, and Kathryn Crooks is a Mathematics professor with Community Access and Engagement.

This year's Women Who Rock awards will honour six trailblazing women and girls who helping to shape our world for the better. The awards luncheon will take place Sunday, October 6, 2019, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Michelangelo Banquet Centre at 1555 Upper Ottawa Street.
