Amanda White helping spread Indigenous knowledge and culture - In the News

In celebration of National Indigenous History Month, Metroland News introduced readers to 30 Indigenous people who are making a difference, including Amanda White, acting director and special advisor for Indigenous initiatives at Mohawk College.

22_07_18_Amanda_White-2“I’m supporting the new Centre for Indigenous Relations, Knowledge and Learning,” White said in her interview. “A lot of it is knowing what it’s like being a student, knowing what it’s like being an Indigenous community member and how can I support change and advocate for change and to support and cultivate other people’s learning of Indigenous realities and histories and context, because once people have that, it will support reconciliation.”
