Changes to Campus Housecleaning Services
Beginning August 8, Mohawk College will be making changes to some housekeeping cleaning services at the Fennell, Stoney Creek and Airport campuses. Essential cleaning tasks will continue to be performed on a regular basis.
Effective August 8, the following changes will apply:
- Cleaning services will be provided once to twice per week for offices, classrooms, labs/shops, computer rooms, and studios.
- For offices, the occupants of these spaces will be responsible for emptying their desk trash and recycling containers into a central receptacle within or near their office area. The central receptacle will be emptied at least once daily. Liners for desk trash containers will be supplied.
- Common areas such as hallways and stairwells will be cleaned on a reduced schedule.
- All spaces will be monitored daily to ensure the cleanliness of our classes, labs and common areas.
Mohawk College is committed to maintaining a clean and healthy campus. Everyone is encouraged to continue to do their part to maintain a clean workspace and recycle or dispose of waste responsibly.
