Congratulations to Mohawk College student Michelle Rivers on being the first recipient of the The Student Change Maker Award. The award was presented at the first Faculty Local 240 Awards of Excellence gala on October 17.

The Student Change Maker Award acknowledges a Mohawk College student who is working to create positive change in their community. Michelle is Anishinaabe and currently in second year of the G.A.S. She also been active on campus, helping with the birch bark canoe build and volunteered with the MSA for a Fennell Campus Open House.
