COVID-19 Vaccination – Common Questions
1. Is there a chance I could get #COVID19 from the vaccine?
No. mRNA COVID vaccines do not contain any live virus and cannot make you sick with COVID19.
2. What are the side effects of the #COVID19 vaccines?
Like all vaccines, COVID vaccines can cause side effects. Around 10% of people will have arm soreness, fatigue, headache, or muscle pain. Serious side effects are rare and monitored closely.
3. Can mRNA vaccines change a person’s DNA?
No! mRNA cannot enter the nucleus of our cells where DNA is stored. There is no way for mRNA to alter or interact with our DNA.
4. Will I still need to follow other public health measures if I get vaccinated?
Yes. It is important to follow public health measures until we reach a level of community vaccination that suggests widespread immunity.
